If you have the NETFOXTM Network Security Appliance installed on your network, you can initiate pre-defined NETFOX compliance scans from the Foxhole.
But how does it work?
You must have a NETFOX installed on your network. Your DNS server or host file must contain the IP address of your NETFOX. When you click the "SCAN MY NETWORK" link within a vulnerability listing, your NETFOX will scan its complete range of IP addresses for the TCP/UDP ports specified within the vulnerability alert. After clicking on the link you will establish a secure session (SSL protocol) between your workstation and your NETFOX. You will then supply your NETFOX username and password. The NETFOX will do the rest.
Our pre-configured NETFOX scan-parameters are based on vulnerability alerts issued by SecurityTracker.com. All pre-defined NETFOX compliance scans have been created in order to quickly and easily identify if a service associated with a specific vulnerability is active on your network. This will allow NETFOX users to quickly manage their network's exposure to the latest vulnerabilities all through a simple, web-based interface.
